Chili Cook-off Benefitting Lions Reach Out

The New Richmond Farmer’s Market is hosting it’s inaugural Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, September 25, 2022!

The cook-off will allow participants to enter their epic chili into up to three categories for just a $5.00 entry fee. All entry fees will go to the local New Richmond non-profit ran by NREVSD teacher Sue Griffin, Lions Reach Out.

Choose from categories such as “locally sourced” where at least 75% of the ingredients must be grown from within Hamilton, Clermont and/or Brown Counties, or “Cincy Style” where you can make your best version of our beloved Cincinnati style chilis. Of course, we’ll have the traditional and non-traditional categories (think, white chicken or vegan chili for you non-traditional chili folks!).

We also invite the community out to sample chili entries as well, and vote for the “Fan Favorite” award. The overall winner will receive a basket full of goodies from the 2022 market vendors. Come join us, and Mayor Glenn Ewing for a great day at the market, and let’s settle the debate of the best chili in New Richmond, once and for all!

Welcome to The Market!

The New Richmond Farmer’s Market is located in New Richmond, Ohio, along the banks of the Ohio River.

The market first began in 2016, but in 2021 became a more traditional Farmer’s Market, with a focus on locally grown produce and handmade/homegrown and handcrafted items. The market was named “Best of the East” by Cincy Magazine in 2022 for the Farmer’s Markets category.

The Market is held from the end of May until early-to-mid-October each year, every Sunday, from Noon until 4pm.

In 2022, the market is being held at Hausserman Park, along Front Street in the Village of New Richmond.

We are currently looking for vendors for the remaining markets in 2022 and for those who want to participate for 2023. Please email us at info@newrichmondfarmersmarket.com for more details.
